Phrase It Right: Informal Edition

There are many ways of saying a word yet we use the same old phrases. Below is a list to say what you mean better and sound smarter.

Don't Say "BECAUSE", instead use these:

• considering

• due to

• for the reason that

• in behalf of

• in the interest of

Difficulty in saying "NO", instead use these:

• No thanks. I have another

• I did love to, but can't

• I wish I could make it work

• Maybe another time

• I am all booked

• That would not work

"You are welcome" is outdated, incorporate these:

• Cool

• My Pleasure (not my fav but does the job)

• Glad to assist

• happy to help

• You got it

"I think" is overused, try these:

• If you ask me...

• In my opinion...

• As far as I am concerned...

• the way I see it.....

Although a simple "Thank you" works like a charm, switch it up with these:

• That's so kind of you.

• Many thanks

• Cheers

• thanks a ton

• I can't thank you enough
